Coaching Staff

At TOG! we take pride in the reputation of our coaching staff. Each staff member of our team is evaluated on their ability to teach our curriculum to children, their personality, and their level of enthusiasm. All coaches have passed a rigorous audition and interview process which includes: Assisting current staff members with their classes, attending teaching workshops, once this process is completed in accordance with an entirely clean background screening, we place our new coaches with their own locations.

Many of our coaches also have extensive teaching competitive junior tennis players. Our staff will teach your child the skills needed to become the best! Try one of our classes and get the chance to meet your childs instructor!" The coaches at TOG are professional, highly skilled, and they are positive role models!" Coaches have the greatest responsibility, as well as the greatest opportunity, to guide and influence the student athletes.

Coaches assume the role of teacher and mentor to the young players in their charge. A coachs attitude and behavior are critical to modeling good sportsmanship both in word and deed. All coaches/sales associate must support and promote the TOG Program mission statement and guidelines (see attached) as well as our policy and guidelines. Each Group session will have one coach (an adult 21 years or older) and one assistant coach (if possible). All coaches must submit an application, and be willing to undergo a background check. They must be knowledgeable in the sport of tennis and be able to conduct practices and coach in a responsible manner. Coaches should teach the rules of the sport and develop each players skills within the framework of the TOG Brand.

They must help each player develop self-confidence, discipline, sportsmanship, and make participation a learning experience for all. They should use tactics and strategies that are appropriate for the age and skill levels of their athletes. Coaches/sales associate must set a standard of respect for their clients/parents/players to follow and expected to behave in a respectful manner at all times. Consistent respect by coaches/sales associates, clients, parents, to the TOG Brand is an absolute requirement. Losing self-control, using in appropriate gestures or tone of voice, or using foul and abusive language is not allowed.

Coaches/sales associate should refrain from public protest that may lead to similar behavior from players, parents, and spectators. Disciplinary action may include suspension or dismissal of coaching/selling responsibilities. Player/Student/ Parent Information: Registration will be clearly communicated to parents and students alike by a sales associate. Fees are payable at registration.

The sizes of the class will be determined to ensure adequate participation by all players. Practices and Games: An adult coach (21 years or older) will supervise all practices and games. All players who meet TOG requirements will receive equal instruction and equal playing time during all practices and scrimmages. Coaches will be notified by TOG if a child is ineligible to play and for how long. Coaches/sales associate are required to attend a coachs meeting/sales meeting at the beginning of their employments for practice/train on how TOG does business and receive information from TOG heads coach/leading sale person on how to educate them selves. Proper Clothing must be worn to all times. Players out of proper clothing may not be allowed to play.

Grievance Procedure: Please consult with individuals in a private setting. Before, during, and after session and practices can be emotional times. Please choose another time to discuss your issue. Coaches/sales associate are the first line of communication with a parent/client/student. If there is no resolution after a meeting with a player or a parent please consult with the TOG Head coach as appropriate. If further resolution is necessary, the coach/sale associate is required to take the problem to TOG office. The use of TOG names, equipment, without permission of TOG is forbidden. No private club or clinics are allowed to use the facility/facilities.TOG Coaches/Sales associates are representatives of our Brand. Always reflect a positive image. ission: Clients who use TOG services have the opportunity to learn how to play tennis.

The program goals are A) to develop good sportsmanship, B) to teach the skills needed to enjoy playing the sport, C) to provide the experience and lessons of teamwork, and D) to encourage physical fitness and personal growth. The TOG Brand shall have sole determination on the following: Determination of eligibility Authorization of the use of the TOG name In conjunction with the Chairman of TOG, conduct related issues as pertains to coaches, sales associate, students, and parents. The TOG office will delegate communication of some aforementioned areas through the coordinator. Good Sportsmanship requires respect for self, teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials. It requires dedication to the rules of the game. Good sportsmanship acknowledges that everyone will try their best, compete hard, but fairly.

Good sportsmanship is expected of everyone representing the TOG brand. Philosophy: To teach everyone the sport of tennis with a passion, while learning the ABCs of tennis, our programs are instructional. Basic individual skills, rules of the game, and the fundamentals of team play will be taught in addition to physical conditioning. Competition is secondary to instruction, and full participation is the aim. At all levels, every TOG member will be fully involved in training. All coaches/sales associate should strive for full participation at all levels. Formation: Registration will be clearly communicated to parents and students alike. Fees are payable at registration, no others will be protected. Coaches: Each student will have a coach (an adult 21 years or older) and one assistant coach (if possible).

Coaches will support and adhere to the above goals, philosophy, and guidelines. Coaches will strive to be fair and unbiased in their relationship with the groups, members, and their parents. At the beginning of the class a coach may distribute a written copy of any rules or expectations. An adult coach will supervise all practices and games. Grievance Procedure: Please consult with the individual coaches in a private setting (we discourage discussions at practices and games). If there is no resolution after a meeting with your childs coach please consult with the TOG office as appropriate. If resolution is still not achieved, the problem should be brought to the TOG office. TOG Meeting: TOG will hold regular weekly/bi weekly monthly meetings, dates and time to be determined. The company will meet with staff on a regular basis.
